Frequently Asked Questions

In the bottom right corner of the scoreboard there are three symbols. The checkered flag will bring up a popup asking to start a new game. Previous reports cannot be viewed after unless exported prior.

Select the current pitcher’s name in scoreboard. In the top right corner select the plus sign and enter all of the information needed. Upon adding the first pitcher, they will need to be selected before returning to chart.

Select the current pitcher’s name in scoreboard. Here a different pitcher can be selected, with no additional changes needing to be made.

To edit a pitcher, swipe right on the desired pitcher and choose edit. Adjust any information as needed. Swipe left and select delete to remove a pitcher.

In the bottom right corner of the scoreboard there are three symbols. The bar graph icon will bring up two reports. The first report gives stats regarding the current pitchers performance. Every pitcher that has appeared in the current game can be view by changing the current pitcher. The second report can be viewed by selecting the window icon next to the export icon in the top right. This report displays every recorded pitch from the current game, along with other events.

Either report can be exported at anytime. To export a report select the box with un upward arrow in the top right. From here the report can be saved, sent to others, or anything else you can imagine. Both reports are rendered and saved as PDFs.

Select the cog wheel in the bottom right corner of the scoreboard. Here both input and output options can be changed. The input options can only be changed at the start of a new game. Output options can be adjusted at any time.

Stats Glossary

Innings Pitched (IP)

Number of innings a pitcher remains in a game. Each out recorded is one-third of an inning, with three outs being in one inning.

Batters Faced (BF)

The total number of plate appearances a certain pitcher has faced.

Pitches (Pit)

The number of pitches thrown to hitters during the game, including intentional balls.

Hits (H)

The total number of hits given up during an appearance.

Strikeout (SO)

The total number of hitters that have struck out against a pitcher during an appearance.

Walk (BB)

Total number of hitters walked during an appearance, not including hit-by-pitches.

Strike %

The percentage of pitches thrown resulting in a strike. This includes any ball-in-play and foul balls.

1st Pitch Strike %

Percentage of first pitches to each batter faced that are strikes.

Swing %

The percentage of strikes that are swung at by the hitter, including balls-in-play and foul balls.

Whiff %

Swing and miss percent; the percentag eof swinging strikes that are not contacted.

Game Score

Measures pitcher's performance for any given appearance. Calculated using Tango's theory with extra weight being placed on extra base hits as runs are excluded.
