We don't want to do anything creepy with your data. We charge users directly for ArmBarn Pro so we can avoid having to sell your data or do anything else questionable to turn a profit. We may use some of your data responsibly to improve ArmBarn, but that is all.
Let’s explore how your data is stored and analyze:
A) Identifiable Data: If You Don't Have an Account with ArmBarn
- All recorded data stays local to your device and never hits the ArmBarn servers.
- Without out an account, the connect to the database will be invalid so nothing is able to be sent.
- Any features regarding connection to the server with be disabled by default.
B) Identifiable Data: With an ArmBarn Account
What specifically do we store about your recordings, and how?
Currently we're giving you free online backup / sync, which does mean any recorded data entered has been sent to the servers.
- Data transmitted via the app to and from the ArmBarn servers are encrypted following industry best practices
- No information is transmitted until the action has been entered. Game data is not synced until the game has been saved. Pitcher data is sent once the pitcher profile has been created. Any change to the pitcher profile or game information is also updated server side.
- Personality identifiable account information, such as name and email, are stored separate from data regarding recording game actions.
- Generic data about your recordings (metadata) such as the times, opponents, location etc. are also stored on the servers along side your game data.
- Your purchase history within ArmBarn is stored on the servers along side your account information, to make all ArmBarn Pro purchases work on any device you log in from.
You have my data, what do you do with it?
All data is handled responsibly. Besides using a backend service provider, no data is shared with third parties. We do not sell your data.
How is your data shared with third parties so ArmBarn can run?
- Your account information, purchase history, game information and other data outlined above are stored on the third-party servers we pay for to run ArmBarn (Supabase).
- If you contact us with a problem, we will access your data, as needed, to assist in finding a solution.
How do I delete my data?
If at any point you would like to remove data from the ArmBarn servers, follow the prompts in the app. When signed in, any data removed in the application will be deleted locally and server side.
Privacy Policy - Legalese Version
ArmBarn is owned, operated, and maintained by LGT Productions (“us”). LGT Productions respects your right to privacy and shares your concern about the security of any data you may submit via our mobile application (“ArmBarn”, or the “app”) or through our website (the “site”), currently accessible at getarmbarn.com (collectively, the “Services”).
Your privacy is extremely important to us. We don’t want to look at your data unless it is essential to improving your experience as the user. We have a few fundamental principles:
- We don’t ask you for personal information unless we truly need it.
- We don’t share your personal information with anyone except to comply with the law, develop our products, or protect our rights.
- We don’t store personal information on our servers unless required for the on-going operation of one our Services.
The following statement discloses the guidelines LGT Productions has established for protecting the information you provide to us during your visit to the site and while using the app.
What & Why
If you do not create an account with ArmBarn, all of your data stays local to your phone, and no personal data is ever sent to ArmBarn.
If you create an ArmBarn account, we collect and use the following information to provide, improve, protect, and promote our Services.
Your Stuff
ArmBarn is designed to track, analyze, save your pitching performances. To do that, we gather and process certain information about you. (“Your Stuff”).
Account Information
We collect, and associate with your account, the information you provide to us when you do things such as sign up for your account, subscribe to a paid plan, and set up two-factor authentication (like your name, email address, phone number, payment info, and physical address).
Pitcher Profiles
To provide an easier charting experience pitcher profiles are created to store pitcher traits and pitch types. This allows for quick pitcher changes without needing to start a new charting action. Performance data is not tied to these profiles.
These profiles are stored locally on your phone and you may delete it at any time. If you sign up for an ArmBarn account, we will store a copy of this profile data server side to provide online backup and synchronization between all your devices.
Game Data
Game events and information are collected for analysis and organization purposes. Data is stored locally unless an account is made. The reason you are using this service is for the analysis, this data is necessary for providing the desired information.
The game data is not saved until the game has been saved. Once the game has been ended, unless the game is saved, this information in no longer accessible.
Location/Time Data
Information about your location and time of games is not used to track your whereabouts. The only way the data is used is to provide organization of saved game data.
Website Visitors
Like most website operators, LGT Productions collects non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request. Our purpose in collecting non-personally identifying information is to better understand how our visitors use the site.
Bases for Processing Your Data
We collect and use the personal data described above in order to provide you with the Services in a reliable and secure manner. We also collect and use personal data for our legitimate business needs. To the extent we process your personal data for other purposes, we ask for your consent in advance or require that our partners obtain such consent. ArmBarn processes your data (1) to provide the ArmBarn Services to you pursuant to our contract with you; (2) in furtherance of ArmBarns’ legitimate interests in operating our Services and business; and (3) with your consent. In some cases, ArmBarn may process your data to comply with applicable law, legal process, or regulation; protect any person from death or serious bodily injury; or to carry out a task in the public interest.
Examples of ArmBarn processing your data to provide you with the ArmBarn Services include:
- Providing, updating, maintaining, and protecting our Services and business. We also analyze how you use the Services to help you prioritize Your Stuff.
- We may process information that you choose to share with us if you participate in a focus group, contest, activity or event, interact with our social media accounts, or otherwise communicate with ArmBarn.
- Troubleshooting issues you may encounter with the ArmBarn Services. If you contact us with questions or concerns about the Services, we may use your personal information to respond.
- Billing, account management, and administrative purposes. If you purchase a paid ArmBarn plan, we may collect and process payment information, including your name, credit or debit card information, billing address, and details of your transaction history.
- Sending you emails and other communications. We may contact you about important changes to our Services and Service-related notices. These communications are considered part of the ArmBarn Services and you may not opt out of them.
Examples of ArmBarn processing your data in furtherance of its legitimate interests in operating our Services and business include:
- Understanding how you use our Services and improving them.
- Promoting ArmBarn Services that are most relevant to your interests.
- Investigating and preventing security issues and abuse of the ArmBarn Services or ArmBarn users.
- Sending you marketing materials about our Services. If you do not wish to receive these materials, simply click the Unsubscribe link in any email, or update your preferences in the Notifications section of your ArmBarn account.
- Connecting your ArmBarn account with other third-party services via ArmBarn APIs.
- Collecting feedback from you to improve our Services and develop new features.
Law & Order and the Public Interest
We may disclose your information to third parties if we determine that such disclosure is reasonably necessary to: (a) comply with any applicable law, regulation, legal process, or appropriate government request; (b) protect any person from death or serious bodily injury; (c) prevent fraud or abuse of ArmBarn or our users; (d) protect ArmBarns’ rights, property, safety, or interest; or (e) perform a task carried out in the public interest.
Stewardship of your data and information is critical to us and a responsibility that we embrace. We believe that your data and information should receive the same legal protections regardless of whether it’s stored on our Services or on your own computer’s hard drive. We’ll abide by the following Government Request Principles when receiving, scrutinizing, and responding to government requests (including national security requests) for your data and information:
- Be transparent
- Fight blanket requests
- Protect all users, and
- Provide trusted services.
Where We Process Your Data
Around the world. To provide you with the Services, we may store, process, and transmit data in the United States and locations around the world—including those outside your country. Data may also be stored locally on the devices you use to access the Services.
EU-U.S. Privacy Shield and Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield. When transferring data from the European Union, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, ArmBarn complies with the EU-U.S. and Swiss–U.S. Privacy Shield Frameworks as set forth by the U.S. Department of Commerce regarding the collection, use, and retention of personal data transferred from the European Union, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland to the United States. Your Control of and Access to Your Data
You have control over your personal data and how it’s collected, used, and shared. For example, you can:
- Delete Your Stuff in your ArmBarn account.
- Change or correct personal data. You can manage your account and the content contained in it, as well as edit some of your personal data, through your account settings page.
- Access and take your data elsewhere. You can access your personal data from your ArmBarn account via the mobile application. You can also ask us for a copy of personal data you provided to us or that we’ve collected, the business or commercial purpose for collecting it, the types of sources we got it from, and types of third parties we’ve shared it with.
- Object to the processing of your personal data. Depending on the processing activity, you can request that we stop or limit processing of your personal data.
If you would like to submit a data access request, request that your personal data be deleted, or object to the processing of your personal data, please email us at lgtproductions@getarmbarn.com.
ArmBarn as controller or processor. If you reside in North America (the United States, Canada, and Mexico), LGT Productions acts as your service provider and processor of your data. For all other users, LGT Productions acts as a controller of your personal data.
Children
We do not knowingly collect Personal Data from children under the age of 13 and do not target our websites to children under 13. If you are under thirteen, please do not submit any data through the app or site.
We encourage parents and legal guardians to monitor their children’s Internet usage and to help enforce our privacy policy by instructing their children to never provide personal data through any of our app or site without their permission. If you have reason to believe that a child under the age of 13 has provided personal data to us, please contact us, and we will endeavor to delete that information from our servers.
Exclusions
This privacy policy does not apply to any unsolicited information you provide to us, such as feature requests and feedback sent via our support channels. All unsolicited information shall be deemed to be non-confidential and we shall be free to reproduce, use, disclose, and distribute such unsolicited information to others without limitation or attribution.
Disclaimer
While we continue to work hard to protect your data, no transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be absolutely secure, and we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to LGT Productions. Transmitting personal information is done at your own risk.
Privacy Policy Changes
If LGT Productions makes changes to any terms or conditions of this privacy policy, these changes will be posted on the site in a timely manner. We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy at any time, so please review it frequently. In case of a business transaction in which a portion or all of LGT Production’s business is acquired, we will notify you as described above in this paragraph.
